Nowadays, traffic on roads and the pollution caused due to it is very serious issue.To travel without your own vehicle and to use public transport is not possible all the time.Are there any solutions through which we can minimize pollution.
I was travelling in pune city on my bike.I was waiting for the signal to get green so that I can go ahead. It was a timer signal and the count down was going on.It began from 120 seconds(2 minutes).I look left and right of me,I saw 20-30 bikes,10-12 big vehiles were waiting for the same.Suddenly, a great thought hit my mind.
Many people are willing to turn off their vehicles on signals but they are don't may be they think that they won't be able to start their vehile on time or they might be thinking that what one person can contribute by turning off vehicle.
There are many signals that work on timer.These timer are of almost 2-3 minutes on crowded places.If some message is shown like "Turn OFF " and "Turn ON " your vehicle with proper time management with the timer.If they manage to display this message for minute and then all vehicles will be off for one minute.People will be able to turn ON their vehicle on time before the signal goes green if proper time management is done.
These kind of systems should start at crowded signals.If it succeeds then they can increase these systems.
In such way it is possible for people to contribute to minimize the pollution.
